Dice Clash Arenas is an expansion for Dice Clash that adds exciting new content and fresh new mechanics!
Arenas introduce a fun tactical wrinkle and alternate win condition to this dice placement battler. There are 6 total Arenas (1 on each side of the 3 cards). At the start of each round, one is revealed and the Bonus Die indicated is placed in the center spot. Players' pawns start at the ends.
Advancing: Each Arena has a Challenge Number on it (die icon). After placing a die, if its face value meets the Challenge Number, you advance your pawn one space forward. If the space you move into has a modifier icon, you perform it immediately. These typically affect dice in your pool. If the opponent is in the space you're moving into, push them back. If this pushes them off the edge, you win!
Bonus Dice: The first player to get to the center space gains the Bonus Die there for the remainder of the game, and replaces one of the dice in their pool with it. There are 3 types of Bonus Dice:
Green - Defense Die: This die always parries attacks of 6 or higher, regardless of its defense value.
Yellow- Focus Die: This die can block attacks of equal value. You may choose whether it is affected by modifiers, powers, or dice effects.
Red - Special Die:. Adds a 2nd Special Die to your die pool, allowing you to activate your special a 2nd time in a round.
Kuaket and Jane VIII from Super Snipers have joined the battle!
Kuaket has a unique Special Die power. Instead of an immediate effect, all dice placed adjacent to her Special Die gain a modifier. On her Basic Side, they gain +1 Attack. On her Adrenaline Side, they gain a +/- 1 face value modifier.
When Jane VIII plays her Special Die on her Basic side, she places a marker on a space on the opponent's Battle Grid, removing its modifier for the remainder of the round. When on her Adrenaline side, she is able to stack a die on top of her Special Die and choose a modifier for it. This not only gives flexibility, it keeps other spaces open.
Puteri is the new Automa Opponent. Based on a princess from Malaysian myth, she is going to give you a challenge! On her Basic side, she will change all of your black dice to whatever number her Special is. On the Adrenaline side, she will remove all the black dice from your pool matching her Special.
