Nova Duel is a high-speed, 1v1 tabletop card game of tactical starship combat. Designed for print-and-play accessibility but built with wargame depth, Nova Duel puts you in the cockpit of a customizable starfighter where every decision drains your limited energy reserves.
This isn't just about drawing the best cards—it's about managing a volatile reactor. You generate 3 Energy (EN) per turn, but you draw 4 cards. You cannot play everything. Do you dump energy into a devastating Alpha Strike? Or do you reserve power for an Evasive Maneuver to survive the enemy’s retort?

- Three Distinct Hulls:
- The Wraith (Interceptor): A glass cannon with high evasion and superior hand filtering.
- The Vanguard (Fighter): A balanced workhorse that corrects pilot error and excels with guided ordinance.
- The Titan (Gunship): A flying fortress. Slow and easy to hit, but capable of regenerating shields and dealing massive damage with Heavy Weapons.
- Modular Loadout System: Your deck is your ship. Before the match, equip 5 Modules—from Pulse Lasers and Torpedo Pods to ECM Arrays and Tracker Units. Each module adds specific cards to your deck, allowing you to build for pure aggression, electronic warfare, or tanking.
- The "Combat Stress" Mechanic: Every pilot gets tired. Every reactor glitches. Your deck includes mandatory Combat Stress cards—unplayable dead draws that simulate the chaos of battle. You must manage your hand effectively to work around them.
- Tactical "Active Field" Gameplay: Combat isn't just instant damage. Play Active Field cards like Target Lock or Ambush to set up ongoing buffs and debuffs that pressure your opponent on their turn.
