Possessions is a competitive strategy game where you play as ghosts with one hour to affect the mortal world and finish your unfinished business.
The game begins with a tarot reading, during which you draft your goals. Some goals are completed during the game while others are only checked at the end of the game.
You begin the game with 60 minutes of time. On your turn, you must spend 6 minutes doing actions, with the ability to overextend for the last action that you do each turn. You can do actions as a ghost or take possession of any of your scions to gain a physical form, using them to explore the mansion, interact with items, and even murder. When you hop between bodies, items you've picked up stay with the scion that you leave behind, leaving you to determine how to best achieve your goals in the time remaining without being undone by other players' manipulations.
Once all hourglasses have reached the end of the time track, the game ends, and the player with the highest score from their completed goals wins.
