Starlines is a deckbuilder with no text on the cards and no shuffling. An innovative visual system of connecting lines replaces words.
No text. No shuffling. Just connections.
Humanity did not conquer the stars. We learned to follow them. The galaxy is woven together by Starlines — natural corridors shaped by the gravity of stars. By building Stations at stable Lagrange points, you'll expand your Starline Network, push deeper into unexplored space, encounter alien civilizations, and learn technologies we never dreamed possible. The future of humanity will be shaped by the connections we build.
HOW TO PLAY:
StarLines is an engine builder played over 6 turns. Each game features four randomly drawn planets with unique, synergistic actions.
On your turn, you will activate Station cards - each representing a waystation anchored in space. Each Station has colored lines (Starlines) corresponding to the game's four actions. When a line connects back to your headquarters, the numbers on that line increase that action's value. The number of Stations you can activate each turn depends on your battery charge - the higher your charge, the more Stations you can power up.
On your turn:
Arrange your Station cards. The order determines the value of the lines connecting to your headquarters.
Recruit Astronauts equal to the values connected on the top line.
Explore by sending Astronauts to planets equal to the values connected on the second line.
Charge your batteries using the values connected on the third line, allowing you to power up additional Stations.
Buy new Station cards using credits from the values connected on the bottom line.
There is no cleanup phase. Every Station you purchase is available to activate on any turn.
Scoring:
After round 6, players score points for their Station cards and the planets they've explored.
