Terminator 2: The Board Game is an officially licensed board game from STUDIOCANAL that puts players in the middle of the struggle to prevent Judgment Day.

Players take on the roles of Sarah Connor, John Connor, and the reprogrammed T-800, working together to survive and stop Skynet’s rise. The game can be played cooperatively (1–3 players) against an automated T-1000 opponent, or in a 1-vs-many mode where one player controls the relentless T-1000 hunting the heroes.

The game takes place across modular locations representing Los Angeles. Players move their miniatures between locations to attempt missions, resolve encounters, gather intelligence, and avoid the T-1000. Missions and encounters are resolved through a dice-based system using Combat, Skill, and Persuasion dice. Players roll dice to generate successes while managing the noise their actions create, as too much noise may attract the T-1000 or trigger dangerous consequences.

Throughout the game, heroes upgrade and expand their dice pools, acquire weapons, equipment, allies, and special abilities, and adapt their strategy as the story unfolds.

To win, the heroes must complete objectives that unlock a Final Mission to prevent Skynet’s rise. The T-1000 wins if the heroes falter along the way or if John Connor, humanity’s future leader, is eliminated.
