The Phantom of the Opera

One player is the Phantom, striving to compose a perfect musical score, while the other is Christine, trying to disrupt his melody and break free. Over two rounds of ten tricks each, players follow suit when possible, use trump and shifting “super trump” suits to capture or evade tricks, and manipulate the “Number on the Seal” to trigger card exchanges and high-stakes scoring. The Phantom must win and lose specific tricks as shown on the music sheet to advance his composition, while Christine aims to foil those plans. If the Phantom completes the score within two rounds (with a round consisting of 10 tricks), he wins; otherwise, Christine escapes his grasp. —description from the publisher
