Poagon, the land, is a mythical realm reminiscent of Arthurian Britain, or the Central Europe of Grimm’s Fairy Tales, or Bunyan's Pilgrim's Progress, or Tolkien's Middle Earth. It brims with danger, challenges, and treasure.
Poagon, the game, is an exciting experience for 1-6 persons where each player takes the role of one character and tries to navigate that character to fortune, fame, and victory. In Poagon, your character will grow and develop as they gain experience and renown, as they encounter the denizens of the land, and as they find treasure. Each Poagon game is entirely different as there are limitless possibilities in the encounters and the potential gain (or loss) in the land. It is an addicting game that is to be savored repeatedly.
Poagon is a tabletop role-playing game; that is, it is an RPG that does not have a gamemaster. You will enter the land with little in skills and possessions and will grow in attributes, skills, treasure, armor, and weapons, as you overcome obstacles and the denizens of the land. The goal is to become the first person to unseat the Oppressor who rules Poagon. The game is incredibly rich in detail and layering. There are multiple denizens that can be encountered: Dragons, Trolls, Spiders, Sprites, Nomads, Soldiers, Priests, and many more. Those encounters can lead to treasure and renown, or defeat and doom, and can have many, many consequences.
